Caucasus University (CU) is one of the most prominent Higher Education Institutions in Georgia and Eastern Europe. The history of Caucasus University goes back to 1998 when with US government funding and in cooperation with Georgia State University (Atlanta, USA), Caucasus School of Business (CSB) was established. Thus, the implementation of the first western-style education was launched in Georgia. In 2004, based on CSB, the Caucasus University (CU) was established, and CSB became one of the schools.

Currently, Caucasus University has 10 schools (faculties): the School of Business (CSB), the School of Law (CSL), the School of Media (CSM), the School of Technology (CST), the School of Governance (CSG), the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (CSH), the School of Tourism (CTS), the School of Medicine and Healthcare Management (CMS), the School of Economics (CES) and the School of Education (CES). The University awards Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral academic degrees in accordance with the legislation of Georgia. At this moment these ten schools (faculties) run 45 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, which are taught in Georgian and English languages. Also, offers 5 dual Degree programs in cooperation with the USA and European leading universities. As of today, there are around 7,000 students in the University.

The aim of Caucasus University is to prepare professionals committed to the values of democracy and ethical norms and in this way contribute to society’s progress and knowledge-sharing.

Caucasus University delivers its programs in the following campuses:

Tbilisi Campus – the historical building and garden in the center of the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi and by 2023 CU plans to open its Brand-new Batumi campus

Since 2004 CSB has been running one of the off-site campuses of Grenoble Ecole de Management GEM (France) offering its MBA program. In 2019 Caucasus University was the first in the Georgian education area, which opened a European Campus on the premises of the Rennes School of Business (France).

Caucasus University hold national Institutional authorization and all programs are accredited by EQE Georgia. In 2020 CU obtaind TedQual Certificate administered by World Tourism Organization Academy - Caucasus University is the first institution in the region to have succeeded in obtaining the UN World Tourism Organisation TedQual Certificate. Morover, Unievrsity has succesfully complited two most importat stages of AACSB accreditation and will be the first educational institution in the region to be obtained the AACSB accreditation.

The University is a member of many successful international university associations and professional networks.  CU is an Individual Full Member of European Unievsrity Asscociation (EUA), is a member PRIME, CEEMAN, AACSB, IAUP, IAU, NIBES, ELFA, BSUM, WAAS, Amcham, United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) etc. as well as many other international and local networks. CU enjoys the patronage of many international donors, including but not limited to The European Commission, USA Embassy, USAID, UNDP, UN, US Department of State, GIZ, DAAD etc.

 Caucasus University maintains close contacts with leading European, American and Asian Universities. CU cooperates with 177 foreign universities around the World based on partnership agreements and MoUs, while implementing exchange programs with 55 European partners within the scope of the Erasmus + international mobility program funded by the European Commission. According to the Erasmus+ National Office official reports from 2015, Caucasus University is a leading private university based on the number of students and academic staff mobility as well as International Capacity Building and Jean Monnet projects.
